Meet Our Team

Sharon Ryan, Director
I am a philosophy professor at WVU.  I teach a variety of courses, including: Theory of Knowledge, Philosophy of Religion, and Introduction to Problems of Philosophy.  My philosophical interests are wide ranging, but my current research focuses on wisdom, intellectual virtue, epistemic obligations, and forgiveness.  I am currently writing a book, under contract with Bloomsbury Press, on the nature of wisdom and intellectual virtue. In my spare time, I enjoy being outdoors, practicing yoga, running, cycling, gardening, listening to music, making pottery, reading about nutrition, fitness and health, and wrestling with the big questions of human existence.

Ken Enoch, Technical Supervisor
I am the Administrative Associate for WVU's Department of Philosophy, Religious Studies Program, and the Humanities Program.  I earned my BA in Parks and Recreation at West Virginia University in 1999.  I enjoy Zumba, watching sports, playing video games, and doing creative things with technology.

Karlee Gibson, Media Intern
I am from Greenville, South Carolina and am currently a junior here at WVU. I am working towards a major in journalism with a minor in anthropology. I have a passion for producing media content and have been able to strengthen these skills with various jobs and internships throughout my college career leading up to THE QUESTION. In my free time, I like to travel, hang out with my friends, and cook.
